Jenna felt a flicker of guilt at the mention of Ric. She knew how it probably looked to everyone else, for her to end things with Ric only to end up with Elijah. She knew they wouldn't understand what she was thinking or how she felt.

Even as Elijah told her that they could leave, she felt conflicted. A part of her wanted to agree because perhaps it would be easier on them all if they did but a part of her was annoyed. Annoyed that they should be made to feel they had to hide away and that everyone just seemed to expect it.

"He's not here right now." Either way, Ric would hear about her being there with Elijah, she was sure of that much. After she drained the glass, she placed it sharply on the bar.
