Halloween Fun (For
havenosecrets)
Elijah wasn't convinced that going to the Grill was the best choice he and Jenna could make, but it was Halloween and there was a party, and she needed to feel like there was some normalcy left in her life, changed as it was. Maybe Ric would stay away and they could avoid the awkwardness all together.
His luck really hadn't been that great, lately, though.
And the knowledge that Stefan was back in town didn't help.
Nevermind Rebekah, if that rumor was even true.
Klaus was gone, and Elijah had avoided him and Jenna was safe, so the worst was surely over, yes?
Maybe his luck was changing.
So, it was, that he put on the costume he'd picked out--Victorian elegance with sweeping long coat, leather waistcoat, goggles on his top hat and clockwork pieces dangling. He'd discovered Steampunk and he was in love. The science fiction element added to the era of clothing he'd always loved best was an impossible draw, even if he felt it was a little silly to get all excited about it. He hadn't been excited about anything in a long time.
...Except he was, admittedly, really excited about going out with Jenna, even if maybe it was a bad idea. He didn't belong here. Maybe he never would. But with her...maybe he could find a way toward some sort of sense of it for a little while, at least.
Finally dressed, he headed to her place, pausing on the porch and hesitating just a moment before ringing the bell and hoping Jenna would be the one to answer and not Elena.

"Good." Jenna nodded, smiling back. "Let's go."
Moving out onto the dance floor, Jenna looked at Elijah. "Are you okay?" She asked softly, turning to face him.

Elijah, in the meantime, moved with Jenna, wrapping his arms around her when they got to the floor and focusing his attention on her, though part of him was half looking for Rebekah.
"I'm fine," he said, sliding a hand up to cradle her jaw. "I'm sorry all of this got in the way."

"At least we can enjoy ourselves for a little while, right?" She leaned into his touch.

Even a thousand years ago.
"We can," he agreed. Heedless of the fact that they were still being watched, he lowered his head to brush a kiss over her lips.

"You know, we don't have to stay." She leaned back slightly, looking at him. "We could go for a walk or just head back to your place."

Whether or not they'd manage to dance for long before their clothes came off and they found themselves in another dance was a different question.
no subject
"I'm rather enjoying it as well." She nodded, her body brushing against his lightly as they moved together. "You know, I shouldn't be surprised but you're a good dancer."

Not that they needed the breakfast part, but the beds were nice.

"Hmm." She smirked. "I think we should definitely look into it then. I love bed and breakfasts."

They all did, somehow.
That wasn't something he was sure he was ready to share, though.
"So do I,' he said, giving her a bit of a smirk. "When would you like to go?"
no subject
"Maybe next weekend or the one after?"
